ACOM at Festival of Nations 2010
Armenians were well represented at the 2010 Festival of Nations. A demonstration of the art/craft of Manuscript Illumination and Book-Making was presented in the bazaar area of the Festival. Members of the community led by Janet Rith-Najarian and Lynne Gildensoph, demonstrated these arts during the four days of the Festival. The exhibit was well-received and many visitors purchased silk items and were very interested in the books. Many thanks to all the volunteers who helped make this exhibit a success.
The Armenian Dance Ensemble of Minnesota presented a total of 5 dances from Historic Armenia during the Festival. They performed 6 times over the four days and all the performances received enthusiastic responses from the audiences. Comments heard after the dancing were all very positive and complimentary.
