Who are these men?
They will be at the Ancestral Treasures Event on May 19.
Wonder what pilaf recipe they like?
To be held at St. Sahag Armenian Church
203 N. Howell Street, St. Paul
Sunday, May 19, 2013 at 1:00 pm
This event is designed to help all of us understand and deepen our appreciation for the various Armenian pasts by simply gathering up artifacts of ancestors’ photographs, ship manifests,
stories, newspaper articles, bits of meaningful clothing, awards, artistic expressions, letters, and
any other memorabilia that speaks of the family. Start the search in closets,
drawers, attic, and basement storage places.
Please contact Tom Keljik at keljikcollins@comcast.net or 651-659-0552
before May 10, to reserve a table for your Ancestral Treasures.
What will we find to share?
We are convinced it will be one of the most moving and inspiring afternoons you
will spend with our Armenian ancestors and our lively Minnesota Armenian Community.
ACOM will be serving lunch simultaneously.
We ask those of you who are interested to bring your
favorite PILAF to share as part of the meal.
Perhaps it is grandmother's recipe!
It will be our first PILAF–OFF !
Mark your calendars NOW and start digging into your past

GIVING OPPORTUNITY-
In these difficult economic times it is important that children and adults eat a balanced diet in order to stay healthy. As descendants of those who were known as 'The Starving Armenians', feeding the hungry should be a top priority for us. Use of food shelves has increased this year, a reflection of the current economic situation. To help meet this higher need, ACOM has a Food Barrel located in the Fellowship Hall of St. Sahag Church, and everyone is invited and encouraged to bring a few non-perishable food items - or even a whole bag full! - to add to it. Take one of the empty bags found next to the barrel and fill it at your favorite grocery store. Place your donations in the barrel any day you are at the church. They will be delivered to the Keystone Community Services Food Shelf. Your generosity will make a difference to those in need.
